Hop on a bicycle to explore the numerous lively, intricate & colourful temples and markets in the many neighbouring villages all around our resort, the heart of the east coast’s Tamil culture and a unique twist to your journey
East Coast Lagoons

Slowly slide on the nearby lagoons all along the east Coast on a traditional boat

Kudumbimalai Rock

Take a guided hike to the top of this steep rocky outcrop to admire the stunning views and learn about the area’s importance in the British colonial era and during the Sri Lankan Civil War

Batticaloa’s old town
The East Coast’s 2nd town, built around countless lagoons and islands, with its old fort and mesh of many churches, mosques and temples, just 20 minutes away
Polonnaruwa

The Cultural triangle's jewel and Sri Lanka’s most fascinating ancient capital, just 1 hour away

Trincomalee
Sri Lanka’s main port during the Polonnaruwa period, a natural sheltered deep water harbor surrounded by the large Dutch bay, an old fort and multi-ethnic streets, just 1 hour away
Danigala

Enjoy a guided hike to the top of the Danigala Circular Rock, visiting the nearby temple on the way. News of UFO sightings and alien activities in this area causes some to call it “Alien Mountain”

Maduru Oya National Park
Take a day to explore one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful wilderness areas; with its rocky mountain range and reservoirs, it is home to large elephant herds, sloth bears, several monkey species and countless birds such as storks, eagles and pelicans
